You could always try and do it yourself by purchasing a home highlighting kit at a discount store, but if you have NEVER done it before, I would NOT recommend it. The first(and might I add ONLY time) I tried to do it myself, by hair was literally ORANGE.

If you have someone who can help you, it may not be to bad, but I still think with my first time I would have it done professionally, and ask the hairstylist if he or she can recommend anything that can be used over the counter that is good for your hair and that you can do yourself.

i know they all said it, but trust me, just go to a hair salon. i tried so many times to do it myself and sometimes they would come out okay, but not that great. other times you wouldn't see them at all. just don't waste your money and time.

if you really want to do them yourself then just get them done professionally once. and then try to do the touch ups yourself.

i heard that if you put lots of lemon juice in your hair and go into the sun for about 2 hours, then go inside and wash your hair with shampoo and conditioner, it'll be blondeee.
