What's the best way to do at home hair highlights??

.... I HAVE DARK HAIR.. I JUST WANT TWO SHADES LIGHTER...MEDIUM BROWN

What's the best way to do at home hair highlights??

there is a box that have the formula to highlight hair. i cant remember the name but it has the little brush inside that make it have that streak look on the cover of the box.

you can buy the one for dark hair. the result should give youa nice carmel color.

now this is what to do. ask for a friend to help you highlight your hair. once you got a friend. get a plastic bowl or ceramic cereal bowl put the content of the box and mix it well. make sure read direction first before doing anything. the brush your going to use will not be that silly brush that come in the box. it will be a professional brush that you see stylist use in the salon. you can get it at sally. cost 50cent or one dollar. if i was you i would do a partial highlight. this give the illusion that your head is highlight.

partial is parting the hair starting at the middle of each eyebrows back to the top of the head. making a square. poneytail that section. then poneytail the rest of the hair to keep it out the way.

now the ponytail that is on top of the head take it out. and start taking thin slices. the size of your brush handle.

this is how you going to know what to put the box product one. the first slice you are going to leave your natural color. then you are going to slice another section of our hair. going from left to right. that second one you are going to apply the box highlight product on and place foil on it. and third skip and forth apply and foil, and so on and so on.

you should have nice highlight like the professional. walla

Seriously I tried this a jacked up my hair it cost $200 to fix it! Highlights can be tricky, go to a professinal, trust me.

there are safe ones that give you step by step instructions where you have to pull your hair through a cap. I don't like this technique because my scalp is tender. But the best way is to go to a hair stylist and get your hair hi-lighted with foil! Hope you hair turns out well!
