Need Hair Advice- Highlights?

I have really dark brown , almost black hair. i am tired of having it one solid color but im not sure what color highlights to do. ive done red before and loved it. any suggestions? pictures would help too

Sense you have such a dark natural color, the best color to use would be red in your case and obviously you like red hair, what you can do is buy a brighter red tone then you usually would buy, this will make your hair look like it has a natural red tint to it. Going to dark red like alburn will fade very fast in dark hair.

Maybe a caramel or a lighter brown to make it look more natural. Try two colours as it will probably blend better and look abit more natural. It will look more blended and natural if you get foils instead of having it pulled through a cap which normally only allows you to have one colour put through and makes it look more of a solid colour.This is a picture of my hair(excuse my roots! :) ) Hope this helps :) x
