How do I repair chemically treated hair (highlights)? and how do I grow them out?

I highlighted my hair about three months ago and the lady tried to do it only with the use of color - no bleach, well it didn't take so I had to go back and have them bleach it and recolor it. They used a lighter brown base and blonde highlights, which was fine until it began to grow out (dark brown roots.) When I went back I told them that I wanted thinner highlights with a darker base - so they pulled out new hair to be highlighted and dyed everything else dark brown. Now my hair feels like straw when I wash it. Is there any really good products out there that can help? I am used to shiny dark brown hair and I promise I will never do this to my hair again! Also, what is the best way to grow these highlights out? I spent lots of money to ruin my hair ;0(

they make special shampoos and conditioners that fix damaged hair by ProV and other brands like that if the damage is severe and you spent a buttload of money on your hair by a proffessional, you have all the right in America to sue. good luck

Just wait for your hair to grow out. Unfortunately there is nothing you can do. Never ever color your hair again.

if you bleach you hair to much it will ruin it!!! no sur[rise there. just leave it untill you have your natural hair back. you could try to cut it, so that only the regrowth is there

there is no miracle drug to grow hair out...i wish there was ive been growing mine for 2 years!! as for gettin' rid of the straw feeling. Get a good DEEP conditioner (you can get em at walmart...i like pantene pro-v) slather it on your hair....wet a towel in HOT water, wring it out and wrap it turban style on your hair. oh...do this on clean dry hair by the way...lol...wait about 30 minutes then rinse the conditioner out. Make sure to buy moisturizing shampoo and conditioner..and don't be afraid to spend a lil extra money....ie..not 97 cents a bottle. i've had this happen to me before and after a couple weeks of doing this treatment 1-2 times a week, my hair started feeling a lot better. also, drink lots of water, helps hydrate skin, nails and hair.
